Renting the Centre
Need a room for a meeting place, birthday party, shower or a gym to practice floor hockey, basketball or soccer in? Looking for a place to run a karate, art or music class? Well, the Centre is the place to come! We rent our gym and classrooms to the public for just those reasons. It’s a great place to be and the prices are right.
Bookings must be 19 years of age or older to rent and are required to be present for the event.
Fees to book the Centre have been set to fully maintain and support this facility.
All renters must sign facility contract and pay in full within 7 days of booking in order to confirm and guarantee their spot. All rentals must be booked through the main office. All rentals must include setup and cleanup within their rental time. Participants are not permitted to enter the rental area until the person named on rental agreement is present. Payment can be made by cash, debit, Visa, MasterCard, or e-Transfer to [email protected]. Cheques are not accepted.
Increase to rental rates:
As a non-profit community organization, we have always been committed to keeping our rental rates affordable to ensure that everyone in our community has access to a safe, welcoming, and well-maintained space. We are proud of the diverse programs and activities that take place within our walls, and we value each of our clients and the contributions you make to the Centre’s vibrancy and success.
While we have worked hard to keep our rates as low as possible, in order to continue to operate sustainably and provide the high standard of care and service you have come to expect, we must implement a modest increase to our rental fees.
Effective September 1st, 2025, our updated hourly rental rates will be as follows:
- Classroom Rentals: Private $25.00 Community $21.00
- Gymnasium Rentals: Private $30.00 Community $24.00
- Gym Instructional Groups offering programs for children/youths $18.00 per hour
- Jump Tent Party Package: $150.00
Limit of children allowed is 20. Ages 3-10. Jump tent rules are to be given to renter to review. Package includes jump tent room for 1 hour and party room for 3 hours for you to have set up, have your cake and presents and the last 1/2 hr. is for clean-up
Please Note:
- Community Based Organizations are non-profit groups or organizations that work at a local level to improve the life of residents. They are groups of individuals organized by and for a particular community of people based on shared interests and/or attributes aimed at bringing about the social well-being of individuals.
- Adult birthday parties are not permitted at the Centre. Birthday parties are allowed for children ages 1-12 and youth ages 13-16. Youth dances parties are only allowed in one of our multipurpose rooms located on the upper level. Maximum youth allowed is 25 and there must be one adult for every 8 youth. Adults must remain in the room with youth for the entire length of party.
- Jump Tents/Inflatables: There are strict rules in Nova Scotia governing inflatable equipment. All inflatable equipment must be certified and a certified operator must be present when inflatables are being used. Only companies that adhere to these rules can be used within the Centre for a birthday party. The Centre does have a certified inflatable and a certified operator that is present while being used. Renters cannot bring in inflatables from home that are not certified.
