Future Addition @ NWCC

The NWCC has had a wonderful facility in which to offer the variety of programs, activities and special events throughout the years. We have grown from a small number of groups and programs to a very busy and bustling building. It has come to the point where we are now having to turn away many new bookings because of being completely booked.

What’s a solution? Go bigger and better! An addition to the building housing a spacious multi-purpose room and full size kitchen for the community is being proposed (see above sketch). Our hope is to increase the current space of our facility in an effort to accommodate the many community based groups who utilize our Centre as well as becoming more functional for special events and social functions.

We are a registered charitable non-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide social, educational and recreation opportunities for the community of Woodside and surrounding communities of Halifax Regional Municipality.

We offer a variety of services and are the home to many regular bookings who provide a wide array of programming and activities for all ages. In addition, the centre is available for rental for all of your booking needs from birthday parties to wedding receptions to meetings, to practicing your sport. Our gym is stocked with a variety of sports equipment and our classrooms can meet all of your meeting needs.
