 NWCC Winter 2026 Programs

There are two types of memberships now!

Basic membership the cost is $5.00 (yearly)
This  has a 10% discount for program registration (which usually a senior does not need as they already get the 10%), plus 10% off private rental space and advance notice of events and programming, yearly report and voting privileges at our Annual General Meeting

Elite membership (new) the cost is $10.00 (yearly)
This includes a 10% discount on program registration, early registration (the day before regular registration opens, this is in person only and must bring membership card with you,) plus 15% off private rental space at the Centre, advance notice of events and programming, yearly report and voting privileges at our Annual General Meeting.  The Elite Membership discount was created to encourage more memberships and just like the sportsplex offer more of an incentive to purchase this membership and added benefits.

Again seniors already receive a 10% discount so they do not need to purchase a membership (unless they want to be able to have what the Basic or Elite memberships offer) and some do as it is just a way of showing support to the Centre.

Introduction to Meditation: A Gentle Beginning

Meditation is the simple art of pausing — giving the mind and body a moment to rest. You don’t need special skills or beliefs, only curiosity and a few quiet breaths.
Even a brief practice can bring lasting change. Three benefits often appear ready.
Less Stress: The breath deepens, the body softens, and worry begins to ease.
Better Focus: Awareness strengthens, making it easier to stay present.
Emotional Balance: You begin to respond rather than react, meeting life with calm and compassion.

Meditation isn’t about perfection — it’s about showing up, again and again, one breath at a time.
Please bring a mat, pillow, and/or small blanket so you can sit/lie comfortably as we begin this gentle journey inward.
