Capital Improvements

The Centre is under going many new upgrades and addtions.  We are very excited about the work that is being completed.

Presently the north side of the building is being sided.  At the same time we will be erecting a new wheelchair ramp that will accommadate large chairs as well as more room on the top for turning.

This north area also will be undergoing paving. Two more spots for parking will be created.  All users will be able to walk down to the back of the centre to reach the back property.  This entire area will be repaved and a retainer wall as well as steps are be put in so that all users can safely walk.

The south side of the building will also be receving pavement.  The back area that hosts our special events is another area that will be paved and levelled.  The area from the parking lot to the entrance of the gym will also be repaired and paved.

We are also having a much needed handicapped washroom installed in the gym area.

We are very grateful to Halifax Regional Municipality for these Capital Improvements.

Councillor Jackie Barkhouse

In addition to the above capital improvements, Councillor Jackie Barkhouse has repaved our basketball court as well as installed a new hoop for all users.  Lights will also be installed to light up the backyard for the safety of all users.
